The Balanced Life For Everyone.
The 50/50 Life Foundation is the epicenter of the "Personal Foundation Movement",
a paradigm shift in philanthropy which will help empower everyday people to both individually and collectively change our world for the better. The 50/50 Life is similar to the Bill Gates and Warren Buffett 'Giving Pledge' for billionaires, but The 50/50 Life is for everyday people like us. Our group is all about living a balanced life and making the choice to help create a better world.

Our goal is to help thousands of people start their own small foundations. Each of these small foundations will then partner with other foundations to accomplish BIG goals. Instead of just giving money to a charity, people will become more proactive with their personal philanthropy. Having a small branded foundation in your name, your family's name, or your small business' name will be a source of pride. People will donate more of their time and money, plus actively promote their personal causes.

The mission of The 50/50 Life Foundations is two-fold: First: To be a trusted source of philanthropic information, thus empowering our members to make informed decisions regarding their personal giving. Second: To provide powerful and secure online giving tools, thus empowering our members to fulfill the mission and goals of their personal foundations.

The 50/50 Life doesn't have any requirements on how much of your time or money to donate, plus we never ask for donations. Join our group and start your own micro foundation. Then you can decide where your time and money are spent. By the year 2015 we plan to help 350,000 individuals, families, small businesses & groups to start their own small foundations. These new organizations will be part of The 50/50 Life and be managed using the MyFound.Org website.

MyFound.Org is THE place to start your own personal foundation and play an active role in changing the world! Participation is what's missing in most of today's charitable giving, and MyFound.Org creates a two-way street for givers to participate. Personal foundations can be started as an individual, a family, a small business, a group of friends, an educational scholarship, or as a memorial to a loved one. Come up with a catchy name and a cool-looking logo for your new foundation and then decide which causes interest you and your members.

Why should Bill and Melinda Gates have all the fun? You can fly solo or start a small foundation with family members, friends or co-workers. Your personal foundation's homepage list all your causes and lets you network with other like-minded personal foundations. Charities have their own pages and can easily send updates to all their members. Think of your foundation as a tree, and each of your causes as a leaf on the tree, and your partner foundations as the forest, working together to create lasting change. In addition, all grants received will be viewable online in a timely fashion.

I. To be informed of an organization's mission, of the way an organization intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.

II. To be informed of the identity of those serving on an organization's governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.

III. To have access to an organization's most recent financial statements.

IV. To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.

V. To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition.

VI. To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.

VII. To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature.

VIII. To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization or hired solicitors.

IX. To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that an organization may intend to share.

The anatomy of the SuperGeeks.Org website consists of two main components; demographically targeted websites and specialty themed microsites. As a whole the content is
a mixture of aggregation alongside original reporting and commentary. Our members are encouraged to submit articles of their own life experiences and we reward members who exceed 12, 26 and 52 posts per year. We also constantly feed our website with snippets of thought-provoking articles from around the web. This keeps our members well-informed of new breakthroughs and helps to stimulate intelligent conversation. We encourage our members to alert us when they find something interesting in the media, be it in a newspaper or magazine, on a television or radio program, or on the internet.

In addition to writing blog articles, all of our members are encouraged to 'Comment' on individual posts. Our model for original content creation is a few hundred 'Featured Bloggers' writing roughly one article per week. In addition, we also encourage our other members to submit articles whenever they have something to say. The Featured Bloggers will be senior SGO members and likely already have their own websites. They are free to cross-post from their own website, or completely move their website to SuperGeeks.Org exclusively. SGO will also actively recruit popular bloggers to join the SuperGeeks.Org website.

Our Featured Bloggers will work on their articles using our ‘SGO Pipeline’ collaborative intranet website and other members will submit their articles via email. We will have yearly awards for members who exceed 12, 26 and 52 posts per year. The SuperGeeks.Org website is a mix of original content and aggregated News summaries. The original content will be created by our own bloggers and the aggregated News summaries will be compiled from websites around the world. With 7 demographically targeted websites and 10 specialty microsites you might think content creation would be complicated, but it's actually quite simple. Content is not created for each of the SuperGeeks.Org sub-sites individually, as one post will be shared across a range of sub-sites.

For instance, one of our members might write an article titled 'High School Robotics Competition'. This article would be tagged 'Teens, Parents, Teachers, Robotics'. Then this 1 article would show up on those 4 different sub-sites. Another member might write an article titled 'Home Security Technology'. This article would be tagged 'Parents, Workers, Boomers, Tech Talk'. Then this 1 article would show up on those 4 different sub-sites.

Simply put, our various sub-sites are just different ways to distribute the same content. This method of content distribution ensures a retired person doesn't have to sift through articles about robotics, or a teenager doesn't have to sift through articles about the latest home security technology. The further down we can parse content, the more convenient SuperGeeks.Org will be for our members.

YOU are SuperGeeks Outreach! An active membership will always be the greatest strength of SuperGeeks Outreach. We urgently need to start SGO chapters in every U.S. city, state, school district and university. SGO members from around the country will carry the 'Contribution Through Technology' message to their families, friends and coworkers. The SuperGeeks membership hierarchy is split into 2 categories, Chapters and Teams.

Start a SGO Chapter
SGO Chapters are organized into geographic areas and are created to empower the local community. These geographic areas can be a small town or a section of a larger city. Chapters can also be started in a school district or at a university. In addition to the local chapters there are metropolitan, state, and national chapters to handle wider-ranging issues. If there isn't already a chapter in your area, then it's easy enough to start one.

Start a SGO Team
SGO Teams can be formed by friends, family, classmates, or around a particular skill set or common interest. Once a team is formed the members create a team name, a team logo,
a team flag, a team motto, and each member can even create their own call sign. Examples of teams include: 1) A little league team coach starts a team with his players to view the stars and planets after their night games. 2) Programmers at a local software company start a team to code software for a local homeless shelter. 3) Students majoring in biology at a university start a team to write articles for the SuperGeeks.Org website. 4) A junior high school science club starts a team to produce videos of cool experiments for SuperGeeks.TV. 5) An elementary school PTA starts a team to ensure their children are ahead of the curve in math and science. And those are just a few examples. Use your imagination, remember the sky's the limit when creating your own team. Starting a SGO Team ensures that Together Everyone Achieves More!

SGO Member Ad Campaigns
SuperGeeks Ad Campaigns are where YOU get to be the SGO advertising agency! With video camera in hand you and your friends can write and produce viral ads promoting SuperGeeks Outreach. Then upload your videos to SuperGeeks.TV and spread them on websites, social networks, mobile phones, blogs, and email. Maybe video isn't your thing, then how about creating an original comic book, animated cartoon, or interactive Flash game promoting SuperGeeks. The possibilities are endless! Whatever you come up with, the main goal is to create something viral that gains widespread popularity and will increases SuperGeeks brand awareness while helping recruit new members. SuperGeeks Outreach can compete in the big leagues by leveraging the power of the internet and the talent of our members.

SGO Membership Goals
If SuperGeeks Outreach is going to bring about lasting change on a global scale we will need a very large base of active members. For this reason our membership goal is to have 10 Million SGO members in the United States by the year 2015. This means new members, teams and chapters from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the 5 U.S. territories, and 5 branches of the military. Achieving this goal will require participation by individuals, families, public and private schools, universities, church groups, small businesses, large companies, cities, counties, states and national government. All unified behind the common goal of creating and implementing 'Technology For A Better World'. Most people long for a sense of purpose in their lives and SuperGeeks Outreach can help fulfill that need by empowering our members in their own community and throughout the entire country. The 'SGO New Members Guide' educates new members on everything SuperGeeks Outreach. This online guide contains all the answers a new member needs to know about the SGO organization. Items covered in the guide include basics like the anatomy of the SuperGeeks.Org Website, detailed descriptions of our various services, and a listing of our other websites. Other sections provide information on how to join groups like the Technical Response Unit or our Public Relations Group. There is even a section with city, state and country maps showing the locations of our various SGO chapters, along with information and statistics for each geographic area. SuperGeeks Outreach Leadership
SuperGeeks Outreach believes that strong leadership and governance is integral to our success. SGO's management hierarchy strikes a balance between decentralized local leadership and a centralized national government. To achieve this balance SGO's overall leadership structure consists of both local and national executive teams. As opposed to one large organization, SuperGeeks Outreach is a large collection of smaller organizations working in tandem to fulfill a set of overall goals. The national leadership's job is to keep all these groups working together effectively.

Executive Teams
Local SGO leadership is where true change happens! Our local executive teams are comprised of community leaders in technology, science and education. Their primary responsibilities are to manage local resources and help grow the SGO organization throughout their community.
It wouldn't be uncommon for the local chapter president to be a high school science teacher or an engineer at a construction firm. To keep things fresh we will have new executives every year; rotating from Secretary/Treasurer, to Vice President, to President.

National SGO leadership is the glue that holds everything together. Their job is to support our local leaders and keep everyone on the same page. The national executive team is comprised of national leaders in technology, science and education. Their primary responsibilities are to manage national resources and help grow the SGO organization throughout the country. These executives are appointed by the SGO Board of Directors and their positions do not rotate like that of the local leaders.

Governance
SGO governance includes fulfilling our legal and financial responsibilities, creating a set of overall policies and procedures, setting goals and defining the metrics to measure our performance, distributing information throughout the organization, the shaping of our public image, protecting our intellectual property and trademarks, and facilitating the free exchange of ideas from the top-down and bottom-up.

SuperGeeks Outreach Strategic Partners
Strategic Partnerships are integral to the success of SuperGeeks Outreach. Partnerships are one of our main growth strategies and can be split into two groups; national and local partners. A national partner is an organization like the American Red Cross, The Boys & Girls Clubs of America or The National Science Foundation. A local partner is an organization like an after-school program, jobs training program or a homeless shelter. With national partners we collaborate on high profile projects like the MyFound.Org website and our Technical Response Unit. With local partners we help them implement new technology and create networks of similar organizations from around the country (ie: a national network of homeless shelters to exchange ideas and share resources). Partnering with SGO will always be a natural fit because we all have the same goal, creating a better world for everyone.

SGO's EduTec Library offers all students a level playing field through leveraged technology. The EduTec Library is a catalog of cutting-edge training materials used by public school teachers to teach science and mathematic principles. Each engaging and entertaining lesson contains all the necessary materials to teach core math and science fundamentals using real-world, easy to understand examples. This revolutionary education model accomplishes large-scale implementation by employing a two-pronged approach. First by using an open-source wiki model for project creation, and second by using proven distribution methods for project delivery. With governments cutting back on educational spending and the high price of technical materials, this service is needed now more than ever. At SGO we believe the EduTec Library will be the cornerstone of a new learning paradigm. EduTec Library Projects are so cool that students will discover learning can actually be FUN!

The EduTec Library involves a revolutionary model for project creation and distribution. This model starts with the project design and mass production, next the project enters an advanced distribution network with an online reservation system, and finally the project is delivered to the classroom and picked up after the lesson is completed.

Project creation is streamlined using a Wiki model for collaboration between the top science universities and technology corporations, along with input from teachers, parents and students. This thesis project's content could be created with the help from a corporate partnership; with the corporation providing an internship and the necessary resource to complete the project. This graduate student would also create a focus group of local students, teachers and parents. After successful completion of this thesis, the finished project would be mass produced and incorporated into the EduTec Library rotation, providing students around the country yet another valuable learning experience. Working together we can create meaningful lessons that will be both educational and engaging to the modern day student.

Project distribution is incredibly important to the success of the EduTec Library system.
The EduTec Library's main goal is to leverage the high cost of effective teaching materials by spreading those costs over a very large group of students. By utilizing an online checkout system and logistical delivery methods we can quickly get the right teaching materials into the right teacher’s hands. The faster the turnaround time of each EduTech project, the more students are exposed to the materials, and ultimately the lower the cost of those training materials. SuperGeeks To The Rescue! SGO's Technical Response Unit (TRU) provides free technical support, hardware & software to non-profits that promote education or serve the public good. Technical support is provided locally by charitable IT companies and globally via email and special online forums. It is our goal to get all high-tech companies to donate one day per month in technical assistance to their local non-profit organizations. SuperGeeks is also forming a specialized technical unit to mobilize in the event of natural disasters or emergencies. These emergency services include communications, connectivity, data management and coding.

One of our Technical Response Unit's main services is the 'SGO Makeover', where we provide cutting edge technology to our partner charities. A collection of aluminum cases rotated throughout the country, each containing a different set of technical props. For instance one aluminum case might contain all the current smart phones along with a script about each phone's features. A second case might contain a new advanced robot which is programmed to perform certain tricks. A third case might contain the latest thin MacBook or Dell PC. The national media is handled by special groups of SGO members in New York and Los Angeles creating segments for morning, daytime, and late night television programs. Another special group creates syndicated columns for national newspapers, magazines, radio and websites. The Ideas To Power 2050 House ®
The Ideas To Power Foundation is planning to design and build a house from the year 2050. This project will bring together the most innovative minds and tech companies. This is not one of those green-energy or gadget-packed houses you see from time to time. This is a house representing what a cutting-edge house could be like in the year 2050.

Disneyland did the same thing back in 1957 with their House of the Future. Disney jumped ahead 30 years to simulate a home from the late 1980s. We will jump ahead 40 years to realistically simulate a home from the early 2050s. The Ideas To Power 2050 House will be designed by our members, along with input from the world’s leading scientists, technologists and futurists. Almost everything in the house will be technology that does not currently exist,
or is in an early stage of development. All simulated as realistically as possible.

The possibilities are endless when you open up your imagination to what the future could bring. Imagine you are in your media room playing an interactive video game in the year 2050. This is virtual reality like you've never imagined. You are immersed inside a holographic alien world created on the fly by your home supercomputer. Everything in your house is powered by a new kind of energy source. You take a quick break to chat with a friend who lives in another country. You both sit on the couch and talk face to face just like you were in the same room. In rolls your domestic robot with a cold drink. Now back to that video game...

Students Learn To Build The World.
Build The World is an Architectural, Engineering and Construction education project for students. But even more than that it is a Design, Science, Commerce, Management and Mathematics project for students.

Today's Architects, Engineers and Contractors know that the next generation will be the future of their industries. Build The World forms an educational partnership between established AEC professionals and high school students searching for future careers. This partnership will ignite a spark in the minds of students by teaching them about computer aided design, building information modeling, and sustainable construction. Plus students will learn to master all those other things that go along with a new construction project; things like project, time and resources management, government, law, finance, insurance, managing people, and even how to present their ideas. Each student will become an apprentice architect, engineer, and general contractor and participate in all the aspects of a large design-build project from start to finish, only on a smaller scale and timeline.

The project is split into three segments; Green Homes, Sports Stadiums, and City Skylines.
The Green Homes project lets students design and build the home of the future. The Sports Stadiums project lets students design and build their home team's stadium. The City Skylines project allows students to design and build the future of their city. Each of these student design-build projects will end up as a large-scale model constructed of wood and plexiglas, complete with realistic looking exterior and interior finishes and other details like lighting and landscaping. Once a project is finished the high school students will then give presentations of their finished work to local elementary schools, plus give the younger students a chance to build their own smaller version of a green home, sports stadium or city skyline. Finally the large-scale models and smaller versions will be displayed in high traffic locations around their city (City Hall, Shopping Malls, etc.).

In the future some students may choose a career in architecture, engineering or construction and some may not, but either way all of them will have a priceless learning experience to build upon. Because aside from the Design, Engineering and Construction part we're also building something else… Knowledge, Confidence, Teamwork, Leadership and Community!

The website provides students, parents and mentors with the latest local and national Build The World news from around the country. The news content consists of both written articles and video content from our BuildTheWorld.TV YouTube Channel. We also constantly feed the website with snippets of thought-provoking articles from around the web. This keeps our members well-informed of new breakthroughs and stimulates intelligent conversation.

The website is also interactive allowing our members to submit their own original content, be it
a video or written article. Plus our members can use the online forum to discuss their projects with other students from around the country, or ask a question and get a quick response from our team of mentors.

The show will also feature original content submitted by our viewers.

Build The World ‘Sports Stadiums’ Segment
These segments spotlight a local Build The World 'Sports Stadiums' project following students as they design and build a large scale model of their home team's stadium. Along the way we get to meet all the students and mentors involved, plus see everyone in action as they learn all about design, construction, engineering, sustainability, commerce, management, science and mathematics. All while gaining confidence, leadership skills and learning teamwork. Local sports stars will make cameos in the segments. The finished product will be a large-scale stadium model, complete with scale seating, skyboxes, JumboTrons, scoreboards, lighting, digital banners, grass field or wood flooring, along with scale players and fans. These segments promote the local sports franchises in a fun way while at the same time helping to recruit new students and mentors to join their local Build The World groups.

These segments spotlight a local Build The World 'City Skylines' project following students as they design and build the future of their city. Along the way we get to meet all the students and mentors involved, plus see everyone in action as they learn all about design, construction, engineering, sustainability, commerce, management, science and mathematics. All while gaining confidence, leadership skills and learning teamwork. Students Design and Build Stadiums.
The Build The World 'Sports Stadiums' Project teaches students to design and build their home team's stadium. Each sports stadium model will be complete with scale seating, skyboxes, JumboTrons, scoreboards, lighting, digital banners, grass field or wood flooring, along with scale players and fans. Potential ‘Sports Stadium’ projects include the 92 total MLB, NBA and NFL teams located in 41 cities; plus the possibility of adding minor league and university stadiums. The large-scale models could potentially be displayed at the Super Bowl, World Series or NBA Finals. Each Sports Stadium model will be roughly 20 feet long by 15 feet wide by 8 feet high.

The Build The World 'City Skylines' Project teaches students to design and build the future of their city. In addition to the obvious skyscrapers, each city skyline model will be complete with scale commercial, industrial and residential buildings; civic buildings such as city government, schools, hospitals, parks, police and fire stations; transportation networks such as roads, highways, bridges, railways, subway lines, bus stations, and airports; public utilities such as a power station, water pump, water purification and waste management plant. Details like a large mural sky background, waterfronts, interior lighting, scale cars and pedestrians will complete the realism of each skyline model. Each City Skyline model will be roughly 30 feet long by 10 feet wide by 10 feet high.

The Build The World 'Green Homes' Project teaches students to design and build the home of the future. Each green home model will be complete with a scale foundation, framing, masonry, siding, insulation, wiring, plumbing, roofing, doors, windows, skylights, drywall, flooring, lighting, scale furniture, landscaping, decking, home smart grid, solar panels, solar water heater, small wind turbine, energy star appliances, central air, security system, media center and home automation system. Each Green Homes model will be roughly 24 feet long by 12 feet wide by 10 feet high.

Build The World For Younger Students.
The younger student's ‘Build The World’ lesson plan is the same as the high school lessons, only on a smaller scale. The main goal of this scaled-down version is the same as its older brother; to teach math, science and design by using fun, real-world examples for each lesson. Students will learn faster and comprehend concepts better by participating in Build The World's interactive lessons, because they are framed around familiar scenarios that give each lesson context. Each student will have their own workbook and build a paper model of a local skyscraper, sports stadiums or green house. A class of 30 students would end up with 30 different models and will combine all the paper models together into one large artistic collage on a wall in their classroom.

The Twenty-First Century Arts Charity.
The Arts of Hope Foundation Empowers The Arts Community. The main purpose of the foundation is to promote the importance of arts education in every school. We believe that arts education is important for students to learn creative problem solving and to be innovative in whatever career they choose to pursue. The foundation has eight key components, many of which have social or technology-based elements. We are planning to start Arts of Hope chapters in all the major U.S. cities.

The eight Arts of Hope components are listed below.

I. ARTECH Arts & Technology Makeovers
The ARTECH MAKEOVER is an arts technology component of the Arts of Hope Foundation.
As part of the foundation's arts outreach efforts each city organizes an Arts and Technology Makeover in one school every year. Makeover themes being planned are a music studio,
a design studio, an architecture studio and a video production studio. These state of the art studios will be equipped with the latest in technology and the interiors will be decorated with themed sculpture and wall murals by local artists. Each ARTECH MAKEOVER is designed to create a media spectacle, with the goal of promoting arts education in every school.

II. Arts of Hope Encyclopedia of Artists
The Arts of Hope website has a couple of standout components. The first component is an online Encyclopedia of Artists. Think of this encyclopedia like the Wikipedia of the American arts community. Our Encyclopedia of Artists is a multimedia showcase complete with artist biographies, video interviews, examples of their work, and details on how YOU can support each artist as a patron. The Arts of Hope Encyclopedia of Artists will create the definitive list
of American artists. The encyclopedia will also be accessible at ArtsWiki.Org

III. Arts of Hope Online Art Gallery
The second component of the Arts of Hope website is an Online Art Gallery. This virtual gallery allows online visitors to explore all of our artwork using various search criteria. Think of the Arts of Hope Online Art Gallery as a supercharged version of Google Image Search that mimics a brick and mortar art gallery, complete with a tasteful user interface and high quality images of each of our artist’s chosen work.

IV. Arts of Hope Yearly Art Auctions
Every year each Arts of Hope city will hold an art auction, with all of the proceeds benefiting local school arts programs. The process begins with local artists donating one piece of their original artwork each year. The categories of artwork include art glass, drawings, jewelry, paintings, photography, sculpture and signed artist proofs. We also have other unique items such as original music scores signed by the composer and framed hand-written original poetry. Or you could even bid on the public dedication of a certain piece of music at the next symphony event. An Arts of Hope Art Auction is not your typical art auction.

V. Arts of Hope Yearly Gallery Shows
As an added bonus each year’s donated artwork will be on display for public viewing for one month prior to the charity auction. This creates a unique opportunity for the public to view artwork from the most prominent local artists gathered together in one location. Plus every year will be something new, since that year's artwork will later be sold at auction. All of the ticket sales for the gallery show will benefit local school arts programs. This yearly public viewing will create the definitive list of each city’s most influential living artists.

VI. Arts of Hope Yearly Charity Galas
In addition to the yearly Art Auctions and Gallery Shows, we will also hold Charity Galas all over the country. Each year all of the donating artists and their patrons will gather together to throw a charity gala and art auction, with all of the gala proceeds benefiting local school arts programs. These galas will give attendees a rare chance to meet all of the artists alongside their artwork. Plus patrons will get to meet students and teachers participating in the Arts and Technology Makeover and Aspiring Artists program.

VII. Arts of Hope Yearly Documentaries
Every year each city will produce a two-hour film documentary showcasing the year's artists and their artwork, along with segments on the museum show, the art auction and gala, the ARTECH Makeover, and the charities that benefited from the Arts of Hope events. All of the ticket sales for the documentaries will benefit local school arts programs.

VIII. Aspiring Artists Student Program
The ‘Aspiring Artists’ student program is the Arts of Hope program, only on a smaller scale.
In this program students become the artists and their school becomes the beneficiary. Creative students create their own original artwork and then hold their own art auction, gallery show and charity gala at their school. Parents, teachers and local citizens become the patrons to help support the school’s art program. The ‘Aspiring Artists’ program empowers students to help fund their own arts programs while at the same time raising awareness of the importance of
arts education.
